Poor-quality feed impairs the immune system of the animals and makes them more susceptible to infections. Not infrequently, this manifests itself as a raised cell count in the bulk tank milk. The ability of ProMyr® to lower the pH in the green matter instantaneously impairs or stops entirely the growth of unwanted microorganisms. Mould such as Penicillium roqueforti and bacteria such as clostridia are reduced to a minimum. Stability of the feed in storage is also increased by inhibiting the growth of yeast.
